Who I Am... 

I grew up in a small North Dakota community. At an early age, we learned how to be a productive member of the workforce. Hard work, a great family and good friends make for a strong community and a good life. These early experiences were the foundation for my future careers and activities. 

I spent 15 years working for Mack Truck dealers. This experience showed me what the trucking public needs to be successful in the transportation business and the challenges they face on a daily basis. 

My second career was as a small business owner. We owned and operated a retail hardware and equipment rental store for 16 years. And now I work for an independent insurance agency as an Insurance Agent. I have always enjoyed working with people and all of my past occupations involved working with a variety of people. 

I have served on the Park Rapids City Council (seven years) plus many area organizations to which I have contributed time and leadership. 

My wife Nancy and I have two adult daughters. We have enjoyed living and working in Park Rapids for the past 29 years. 

I work hard to speak up for and work for common sense values and solutions in St. Paul. It is time to roll up the sleeves and get to work!
